UV-C Exposure Testing

UV-C light exposure has been used for many years as a means to disinfect hard surfaces and indoor atmosphere. With the advent of the COVID-19 crisis, it is now being used more often and for longer periods of time.

If you need to determine the possible negative effect on surfaces, please contact us. We can simulate your surfaces’ exposure in an accelerated manner, providing results in days that would correlate to years of exposure. We can quantify such characteristics as color, gloss, and tensile properties. Substrates to test could include painted materials, plastic rubber, carpet, floor tile, bar code labels, etc.

We can test to UV-C Standards IEC 60335 UV-C and BIFMA HCF 8.1.

If you are using UV-C in addition to germicidal chemicals, we can design a plan to simulate those combined exposures.

Please contact us and we can propose a test plan to meet your unique needs.

If you are considering performing interval UV-C Testing, we can custom build a chamber to meet your unique requirments.
